Amir Khusro

Amir Khusro is a biography of Father of Qawwali (devotional music of Indian Sufis) Amir Khusro, actual name was Ab’ul Hasan Yamin al-Din Khusrow. He was Indian poet, musician and scholar. One of the prominent name in the cultural history of Indian Sub-continent. He was the disciple of Nizamuddin – Auliya of Delhi and a much trained musician. The invention of musical instrument “table” is also attributed to him only. Amir Khusro is also attributed to introduce a touch of Persian and Arabic style music in Hindi classical music.
